The drive itself offered lovely views, but arriving at the crater lake was something else. The clear turquoise water against the rocky landscape was incredible. Our guide was knowledgeable about the area's geology and history, making the experience even richer. We enjoyed a peaceful walk around the rim and even saw some interesting birdlife. It's a perfect day trip if you're looking for natural beauty and a break from the usual safari circuit. This 1 Day Materuni and Chemka Hot Springs Combo Tour was the perfect day of relaxation and adventure. The hike to Materuni waterfalls was beautiful, and the plunge into the cool water at the base was incredibly refreshing. Learning about the coffee-making process there was also a real treat. Afterwards, heading to Chemka Hot Springs felt like stepping into paradise. The turquoise water is stunning, and floating in the warm springs was pure bliss. Our guide was excellent, ensuring we had plenty of time to enjoy each spot. It’s a must-do if you're in the Moshi area!

Completed the Mount Meru Trek just before my Kilimanjaro climb this past April. It was an excellent decision! The trek itself was a good challenge, offering stunning scenery and a chance to acclimatize. The wildlife sightings on Meru were a pleasant surprise too – seeing buffalo and baboons up close was fantastic. It really helped prepare me physically and mentally for Kili. The guides were professional and experienced. While the climb was great, there were a couple of minor communication hiccups regarding gear logistics, but overall a very positive experience and worthwhile preparation.
