African Safari Animals List: Best Guide 2026-2027

The 3-day Selous Game Reserve safari was truly special. The boat safari on the Rufiji River was unlike anything I've experienced – so many hippos and crocodiles! The game drives were also excellent, with our guide expertly finding lions and wild dogs. It's a vast and wild place, offering a more remote feel than some other parks. The lodge was comfortable and set in a beautiful location. Highly recommend this itinerary for a taste of southern Tanzania's unique wildlife.

We did a 4 Days Big Five Safari from Moshi and were blown away by the abundance of wildlife. Within the first two days, we had seen all of the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo – in the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. The vehicle was comfortable and well-equipped for game viewing. Our guide was a true expert, with an incredible eye for spotting even the most elusive animals. He was also very passionate about conservation, which added another layer to our experience. This safari was a definite highlight of our trip to Tanzania.

Our 7 Days Serengeti Safari from Kilimanjaro Airport was a dream come true. From the moment we landed, the vastness and richness of the Serengeti were awe-inspiring. We saw the Big Five and witnessed incredible predator-prey interactions. The lodges were comfortable, and the game drives were expertly guided. Our guide was so knowledgeable about the animals and the ecosystem, making the experience truly enriching. This is a must-do for any safari enthusiast. Highly recommend this operator, they were fantastic throughout.

This 5 Days Safari from Arusha to Serengeti was the perfect introduction to Tanzania's iconic park. We packed so much incredible wildlife viewing into our short trip. The migration was active, and we saw lions, elephants, giraffes, and so much more. Our guide was fantastic, spotting animals we would have missed and explaining their behaviors. The vehicle was comfortable and well-maintained. A great value for money and a truly memorable experience. We are already planning a longer trip for 2026.

The sheer concentration of wildlife was breathtaking. Ngorongoro Crater offered a completely different, yet equally stunning, experience. We spotted lions, rhinos, buffaloes, and countless other animals in a relatively compact area. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, spotting animals we would have surely missed. The accommodation was comfortable and well-located. We felt this was the perfect introduction to Tanzania's wonders, and we're already planning a return trip for 2026. Highly recommended!

The 1 Day Tarangire National Park Safari was a highlight of our Tanzania visit. Known for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire did not disappoint. We saw hundreds of elephants and enjoyed the unique landscape. Our guide was fantastic, spotting animals we would have never seen on our own. It was a great day trip that offered a different feel from other parks. We loved the extensive game drives.

This 4-day Ruaha National Park wildlife safari exceeded all expectations. Ruaha is a truly wild and rugged park, with incredible predator sightings. We saw lions, cheetahs, and even a leopard! The sheer scale of the park is impressive, and the relative lack of crowds made it feel very exclusive. Our guide was exceptional, with an uncanny ability to spot animals. The accommodation was rustic but charming, fitting perfectly with the wild surroundings. A must-visit for serious wildlife enthusiasts.

Our 3 Days Tanzania Big Five Safari exceeded all expectations. We were thrilled to see all five iconic animals – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo – within this short trip. The guides were masterful at tracking and finding these elusive creatures. The sense of accomplishment and awe was immense. Beyond the Big Five, the diversity of other wildlife and the stunning landscapes made every moment special. The attention to detail in planning and execution was evident throughout. This trip was everything we dreamed of and more. Top Guide Adventures put together an incredible 4 days covering both the vast Serengeti plains and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. We saw the Big Five, witnessed a river crossing (!!!), and the landscapes were simply stunning. The accommodation was comfortable and the guides were knowledgeable, answering all our questions about the wildlife and ecosystems. It felt like a truly authentic safari experience. We're already planning a return trip for 2026 to explore other areas.

Our 3 Days in Tarangire National Park were filled with incredible sights. We saw so many elephants, including large family groups, and the baobab trees are truly majestic. The park is beautiful and the wildlife viewing was top-notch. Our guide was very good at spotting animals and navigating the park. However, the lodge we stayed at for the two nights was a bit basic and not quite what we expected for the price. While the wildlife experience was 5-star, the lodging brought the overall rating down slightly. We enjoyed the park itself immensely and would recommend it, but perhaps look into different accommodation options if booking a similar package.
