  • Swahili culture: Local artisans added symbolic elements

The 1 Day Mang’ula Village and Udzungwa Forest Tour was a lovely day out. The village visit provided a glimpse into local life, and the hike into Udzungwa Forest was beautiful, with lush vegetation and the chance to see some monkeys. Our guide was friendly and informative, sharing details about the local community and the forest's biodiversity. It's a great option for a shorter excursion focused on nature and local culture, especially if you're staying nearby. The forest trails could be a bit muddy after rain.

Peaceful Escape on Uzi Island
Ben · Canada · 14 Aug 2025

Opted for the 1 Day Uzi Island Hidden Zanzibar Experience as a day trip from Stone Town. It was a wonderfully serene day. We explored the mangroves, visited a local spice farm, and had a simple but delicious lunch. It’s definitely a less crowded experience than other parts of the island. The guide was knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the island's ecosystem. While the pace was very relaxed, which was what we wanted, perhaps a little more scheduled activity would have been nice for a full day. Still a great way to see a different side of Zanzibar.
