How to Pack for a Tanzania Safari – Complete Guide 2026-2027

Just got back from our university's Tanzania Student Group Safari Package and WOW! Top Guide Adventures absolutely nailed it. The logistics for our large group were seamless, and the guides were fantastic at keeping everyone engaged, especially with the educational aspects of the wildlife. We saw so much more than we expected and the accommodations were perfect for a student budget. Highly recommend for any educational institution planning a trip. We did a 4 Days Big Five Safari from Moshi and were blown away by the abundance of wildlife. Within the first two days, we had seen all of the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo – in the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. The vehicle was comfortable and well-equipped for game viewing. Our guide was a true expert, with an incredible eye for spotting even the most elusive animals. He was also very passionate about conservation, which added another layer to our experience. This safari was a definite highlight of our trip to Tanzania.

We did the 5 Days Northern Circuit Safari from Moshi. It was a well-paced tour covering Tarangire and Ngorongoro, with plenty of game drives. The value for money was excellent, especially considering the quality of the vehicle and the guide's expertise. We saw lions, elephants, zebras, and much more. While 5 days is short, it gave us a fantastic introduction to Tanzania's wildlife. A good option if you're looking for an efficient and affordable safari experience starting from Moshi.

Our safari to Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara was absolutely breathtaking. The crater in Ngorongoro is like nowhere else on Earth – so much wildlife in one place! We even spotted a rhino, which was a dream come true. Lake Manyara offered beautiful birdlife and tree-climbing lions. The logistics were handled so smoothly, making it a truly stress-free trip. We felt so well looked after throughout.

Our 7 Days Tanzania Safari from Moshi with Top Guide Adventures was simply spectacular! From the moment we were picked up, everything ran like clockwork. We explored Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and the Ngorongoro Crater, and the wildlife sightings were beyond our wildest dreams – lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeest everywhere! Just returned from a 5-day trip focusing on the Mount Meru Wildlife and Trekking Experience. It was absolutely phenomenal! The trek was invigorating, with breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro in the distance on clear days. What truly impressed me was the wildlife density within the park – we saw elephants, giraffes, and numerous bird species right from the trails. The trekking guides were fantastic, sharing their knowledge of the ecosystem. It’s a gem that’s often overlooked in favor of Kilimanjaro, but offers a unique and rewarding adventure. Highly recommend for nature lovers!

We spent 6 Days in Tarangire National Park and were blown away. The elephant herds were massive, and the landscape with its iconic baobab trees is truly unique. Our guide knew the best spots to find wildlife and was excellent at explaining the ecosystem. The birdlife was also incredible. It was a fantastic experience, offering a different feel from other parks. Highly recommend dedicating a good amount of time to Tarangire, especially with a knowledgeable guide. We're hoping to return for a longer trip in 2026!

We opted for the 3 Days Tanzania Group Joining Safari and had a fantastic time. It was a wonderful way to meet other travelers and share the incredible experience. Our guide was excellent, making sure everyone in the group got great views of the wildlife. We saw so much, from giraffes gracefully browsing to hippos cooling off. The itinerary packed a lot in without feeling rushed. While it's a group tour, there was still ample personal space during game drives. Excellent value for money and a fun social dynamic. We’d do it again for a 2026 adventure.

Had an amazing time on the 4 Days Mount Meru Group Joining Climb a few weeks ago! It was my first time doing a multi-day trek, and the group atmosphere was fantastic. Our guide was brilliant, very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, and kept everyone's spirits high. The views from the summit were spectacular, offering a different perspective than Kilimanjaro but equally stunning. A challenging but manageable trek, perfect for getting into shape for bigger climbs or just enjoying the beauty of Meru. Highly recommended for solo travelers looking for camaraderie.

Wow, our 5 days in Tarangire National Park were absolutely phenomenal! We saw so many elephants, more than I ever imagined. The landscapes were beautiful too, with all those iconic baobab trees.
