Private Safari Vs Group Tanzania — Which Is Better? 2026-2027

For your Tanzania safari in 2026-2027, a private safari is generally better if you prioritize flexibility, personalized attention, exclusive wildlife viewing, and the ability to set your own pace and itinerary. A group safari is better if your main concern is budget, you enjoy the social aspect of traveling with others, and you are comfortable with a fixed itinerary and shared vehicle. The ultimate choice depends on your personal travel style, budget, and desired safari experience.

Understanding the Core Differences: Private vs. Group Safari in Tanzania

Tanzania, a jewel of East Africa, beckons with its vast savannas, iconic wildlife, and unparalleled natural beauty. For many, a safari here is a dream trip, a chance to witness the Great Migration, encounter the Big Five, and connect with the raw spirit of the wild. When planning this adventure, especially for trips in 2026 or 2027, a fundamental decision arises: should you opt for a private safari or a group safari? This choice significantly shapes your experience, from the cost and pace to the level of intimacy with nature and your fellow travelers. At Top Guide Adventures, we help countless clients navigate this decision, ensuring their Tanzanian journey is perfectly aligned with their expectations.

At its heart, the distinction lies in exclusivity and customization. A private safari means you have your own vehicle, guide, and itinerary, tailored precisely to your interests. A group safari involves sharing a vehicle and often a set itinerary with other travelers, typically with a focus on cost-effectiveness and shared experiences.

Let’s break down what each truly entails, beyond the basic definition, to help you make an informed choice for your 2026-2027 Tanzanian exploration.

The Allure of the Private Safari in Tanzania

A private safari in Tanzania is the epitome of a bespoke travel experience. It’s designed for those who seek ultimate control over their adventure, desiring a journey that mirrors their specific interests, pace, and comfort levels. When you book a private safari, you’re not just booking a trip; you’re commissioning an experience crafted around you.

What Defines a Private Safari Experience?

The defining characteristic of a private safari is exclusivity. You and your chosen companions (family, friends, or even solo) have exclusive use of a safari vehicle and a dedicated guide. This means:

  • Dedicated Vehicle and Guide: You won’t share your vehicle or guide with strangers. Your safari vehicle, typically a customized 4×4 Land Cruiser or Land Rover, is solely for your group. Your guide is dedicated to your group for the duration of the safari, learning your preferences and adapting their knowledge and driving to suit you.
  • Customized Itinerary: While popular parks like the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater are common, the sequence, duration in each, and specific areas within them can be adjusted. Want to spend an extra morning tracking lions in a particular section of the Serengeti? Or perhaps focus on birdwatching in Lake Manyara for a full day? With a private safari, this level of customization is possible.
  • Flexible Pacing: There’s no need to rush to keep up with a group. You decide when to stop for photos, when to enjoy a leisurely picnic lunch overlooking a watering hole, and when to head back to the lodge. If a leopard is spotted and you want to stay watching it for an hour, you can.
  • Personalized Wildlife Viewing: Your guide can focus entirely on your interests. If you’re passionate about specific animals, birds, or photography, they can tailor game drives to maximize those opportunities. They can also adjust driving styles – perhaps slower, more deliberate drives for photographers or more focused tracking for specific sightings.
  • Accommodation Choice: You have the freedom to select lodges or tented camps that align with your budget and desired level of luxury, from rustic and authentic to ultra-luxury.

Who is a Private Safari Best For?

A private safari is an excellent choice for several types of travelers, especially those planning for 2026 or 2027:

  • Families: With children of varying ages, a private safari offers the flexibility to accommodate different needs, rest times, and interests. You can ensure a comfortable and engaging experience for everyone.
  • Couples and Honeymooners: For a romantic and intimate experience, a private safari allows for undisturbed moments and personalized service.
  • Photographers: Dedicated photographers often require specific lighting conditions, extended viewing times, and flexibility to position the vehicle optimally. A private setup is ideal.
  • Travelers with Specific Interests: Whether it’s birding, botany, specific animal behaviors, or cultural interactions, a private guide can focus on these niche interests.
  • Travelers Seeking Solitude: If you prefer a quiet, personal connection with nature and want to avoid crowds at popular sightings, a private safari offers this peace.
  • Groups with Specific Needs: Traveling with elderly relatives, young children, or individuals with mobility challenges means you need control over the pace and comfort.
  • Those on a Higher Budget: While more expensive per person than group safaris, the value proposition of exclusivity and customization is often worth the investment for the right traveler.

Advantages of a Private Safari

The benefits of choosing a private safari are substantial:

  • Maximum Flexibility: This is the paramount advantage. You dictate the schedule, the stops, and the focus.
  • Enhanced Wildlife Viewing: Your guide can spend more time at sightings without considering other travelers, potentially leading to more intimate and prolonged encounters. They can also seek out less-visited areas.
  • Comfort and Privacy: Your own space in the vehicle and exclusive access to your guide ensures a comfortable and personal journey.
  • Deeper Learning: A dedicated guide can focus on answering all your questions, explaining animal behaviors, and sharing in-depth knowledge without distraction.
  • Tailored Experiences: From bush breakfasts to sundowners in scenic spots, these special moments can be arranged to your liking.

Potential Downsides of a Private Safari

While highly desirable, private safaris aren’t without considerations:

  • Higher Cost: The primary drawback is the increased cost per person. You are paying for the exclusivity of the vehicle, guide, and personalized service.
  • Requires More Decision-Making: While flexibility is great, it also means you might need to make more decisions about the itinerary along the way.

For those planning a special occasion or seeking the ultimate personalized African adventure in 2026 or 2027, the investment in a private safari often yields unforgettable rewards.

The Appeal of the Group Safari in Tanzania

Group safaris, also known as shared safaris or scheduled departures, represent a popular and accessible way to experience Tanzania’s wonders. They are designed for travelers who are comfortable sharing their adventure with others, often prioritizing cost savings and a structured travel plan. This model has been a staple for decades, offering a fantastic introduction to the magic of an African safari.

What Defines a Group Safari Experience?

The core of a group safari is shared resources and a pre-set itinerary:

  • Shared Vehicle and Guide: You will share a safari vehicle (usually a 4×4) and a guide with other travelers. The number of people per vehicle typically ranges from 4 to 7, ensuring it’s not overly crowded, but it’s a shared space.
  • Fixed Itinerary: Group safaris usually follow a pre-determined route and schedule. This means visiting specific parks on specific days for a set duration. While there might be some minor adjustments based on wildlife sightings, the overall structure is fixed.
  • Set Pacing: The group’s needs and the guide’s schedule dictate the pace. Game drives generally start and end at set times, and stops are made for the benefit of the entire group.
  • Shared Wildlife Viewing: While the guide will endeavor to find the best sightings for everyone, you might encounter other safari vehicles at popular spots. Time spent at a particular animal sighting is often managed to ensure everyone gets a chance.
  • Pre-Selected Accommodation: Lodges or tented camps are usually chosen by the tour operator to fit within the budget and logistical flow of the itinerary.

Who is a Group Safari Best For?

Group safaris are an excellent option for a wide range of travelers, particularly those planning for 2026 or 2027:

  • Budget-Conscious Travelers: This is the primary draw. By sharing costs for the vehicle, guide, and fuel, the per-person price is significantly lower than a private safari.
  • Solo Travelers: Group safaris offer a fantastic way for solo travelers to experience Tanzania safely and affordably, with built-in companionship.
  • Social Travelers: If you enjoy meeting new people, sharing experiences, and the camaraderie that comes with traveling in a group, this is the ideal choice.
  • First-Time Safari-Goers: The structured itinerary can be reassuring for those new to safaris, as it handles most of the planning and decision-making.
  • Travelers Prioritizing Wildlife over Customization: If seeing the iconic wildlife and landscapes is the main goal, and you’re flexible on the finer details of the itinerary, a group safari delivers.
  • Travelers Looking for Predictability: The fixed nature of group tours means you know exactly what to expect in terms of itinerary and daily schedule.

Advantages of a Group Safari

The benefits of opting for a group safari are compelling:

  • Cost-Effectiveness: This is the most significant advantage, making Tanzania accessible to a broader range of travelers.
  • Social Interaction: The opportunity to share stories, wildlife sightings, and meals with fellow travelers can enrich the experience.
  • Simplicity: The itinerary is set, and most logistical details are handled by the tour operator, reducing the planning burden on the traveler.
  • Safety in Numbers: Traveling with a group can provide an added sense of security, especially for solo travelers.
  • Efficiency: A well-planned group itinerary can efficiently cover key destinations within a set timeframe.

Potential Downsides of a Group Safari

However, there are trade-offs:

  • Less Flexibility: You must adhere to the group’s schedule and pace. Spontaneous stops or extended viewing of a single animal might not be possible if it delays the group.
  • Shared Experience: While social interaction can be a plus, some travelers might prefer the intimacy and privacy of a private safari.
  • Potential for Crowding at Sightings: Popular wildlife sightings can attract multiple vehicles, meaning you might share the view with other groups.
  • Compromises on Interests: The itinerary is designed for general appeal, so niche interests might not be fully catered to.

For many, especially those looking to manage costs while still experiencing the magic of Tanzania in 2026 or 2027, a group safari offers exceptional value and a memorable adventure.

Key Comparison Points: Private vs. Group Safari in Tanzania

To truly understand which safari type is better for you, let’s compare them across critical aspects that matter to travelers planning their 2026-2027 Tanzanian adventure.

1. Cost and Budget

This is often the most significant differentiator. A private safari is considerably more expensive per person than a group safari. This is because you are bearing the full cost of the vehicle, guide, fuel, and personalized service for your group, rather than splitting it among many. Prices for a private safari can range from $400 to $1000+ per person per day, depending on the level of luxury, season, and inclusions. In contrast, a group safari typically costs between $200 to $500 per person per day. The shared costs make it a much more accessible option for many.

For 2026-2027 planning: Early booking for group safaris is always recommended, especially for peak seasons. Private safaris offer more flexibility in terms of timing and can sometimes be structured to fit specific budget goals, but the baseline cost will always be higher.

2. Flexibility and Customization

Private safaris excel here. You have the freedom to:

  • Alter the itinerary on the fly.
  • Spend as much or as little time as you wish at sightings.
  • Request specific activities like bush walks (where permitted and arranged) or night drives (in specific concessions).
  • Choose your preferred lodges and camps.

Group safaris offer minimal flexibility. The itinerary is fixed to accommodate all participants and adhere to a schedule. While guides are skilled at finding wildlife, you generally follow a set route and timing.

3. Pace and Personalization

With a private safari, the pace is entirely yours. If you want to sleep in, you can. If you want to drive until sunset, you can. Your guide’s attention is 100% on your group, allowing for deep engagement and personalized service. They learn your preferences and adapt accordingly.

In a group safari, the pace is dictated by the group’s overall schedule and the guide’s need to keep to the itinerary. While guides are professional and considerate, their focus is shared among all passengers.

4. Wildlife Viewing Experience

Both types of safaris offer incredible wildlife viewing. However, a private safari can offer a more exclusive experience. Your guide can potentially take you to less crowded areas (if available and permitted) or spend longer at a sighting without needing to move on for other groups. This can lead to more intimate and undisturbed encounters. For photographers, the ability to stay longer and position the vehicle perfectly is invaluable.

On a group safari, you will likely encounter other vehicles at popular sightings. While guides ensure everyone gets a view, the experience might be less exclusive. However, sometimes having multiple vehicles around a sighting can indicate good wildlife activity, and the shared excitement can be part of the fun.

5. Social Interaction

Group safaris are inherently social. You’ll share meals, game drives, and campfires with fellow travelers, leading to new friendships and shared memories. This can be a significant plus for solo travelers or those who enjoy a communal travel experience.

Private safaris offer intimacy and privacy. While you can certainly chat with your guide, the focus is on your private group. If you prefer quiet contemplation and personal connection with nature, this is ideal. However, if you’re traveling with family or friends, the private group dynamic is also very social and engaging.

6. Accommodation Options

Both private and group safaris can be booked with a range of accommodation types, from budget-friendly tented camps to luxury lodges. However, private safaris offer greater freedom to choose specific lodges or camps that perfectly match your preferences and budget, even if they are more remote or exclusive.

For group safaris, the accommodation is often pre-selected by the tour operator to fit the itinerary’s logistics and the tour’s price point. While these are typically good quality, the choice is more limited.

7. Guide’s Focus and Expertise

On a private safari, your guide’s sole focus is your group’s satisfaction. They can dedicate more time to answering your specific questions, tracking animals based on your interests, and sharing their knowledge in a personalized way. This can lead to a deeper understanding and appreciation of the ecosystem.

On a group safari, the guide must balance the needs and interests of all passengers. They are highly professional and experienced, but their attention is divided. They will still provide excellent information and service, but it’s within the context of a group dynamic.

Making Your Choice for 2026-2027: Key Questions to Ask Yourself

To determine whether a private or group safari is better for your 2026-2027 Tanzania adventure, consider these questions:

  1. What is my budget? If cost is a primary concern, a group safari is likely the better choice. If budget is less of an issue and you’re willing to invest more for exclusivity, a private safari is an option.
  2. How important is flexibility? Do you want to change plans on the go, spend hours watching a particular animal, or dictate the start and end times of your game drives? If yes, a private safari is ideal. If you prefer a structured, pre-planned itinerary, a group safari works well.
  3. Who am I traveling with? Traveling solo or as a couple might lean towards a group safari for social interaction and cost savings, or a private safari for romance and exclusivity. Traveling with family, especially with children or elderly members, often necessitates the flexibility and comfort of a private safari.
  4. What is my travel style? Do you enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences, or do you prefer quiet, intimate moments with nature and your travel companions?
  5. What are my specific interests? Are you a keen photographer needing extra time, or do you have niche interests like birdwatching that a dedicated guide can focus on? If so, a private safari is advantageous. If your interest is general wildlife viewing, a group safari is sufficient.
  6. How much control do I want over the itinerary? Do you want to meticulously plan every detail, or do you prefer a well-trodden, proven itinerary handled by experts?

To provide a clearer picture for your 2026-2027 planning, here’s an illustrative cost comparison. Common Tanzania Safari Itineraries: How Private vs. Group Differs

While the parks visited are often the same, the experience of traversing them differs. Let’s look at a typical Northern Circuit itinerary, common for 2026-2027 trips.

A Typical 7-Day Northern Circuit Safari Itinerary

A popular route includes Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, the Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 1-2: Tarangire National Park

  • Private Safari: You might arrive and immediately head out on a game drive, perhaps focusing on the large elephant herds or the unique baobab trees. Your guide might suggest an early morning or late afternoon drive based on your preferences. Accommodation could be a luxury tented camp inside the park or a lodge just outside, chosen by you.
  • Group Safari: Arrive, meet your group and guide, and commence a game drive. The schedule dictates departure and return times for drives and meals. Accommodation is pre-selected to align with the group’s route.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

  • Private Safari: Enjoy a leisurely morning drive in Tarangire, then drive to Manyara. You could spend the entire day exploring its diverse habitats – from the groundwater forest to the alkaline lake – looking for tree-climbing lions. Your guide might suggest a picnic lunch at a scenic spot.
  • Group Safari: Travel to Manyara, often with a set time for a game drive. The group will experience the park’s highlights, but the time spent in each area is managed.

Day 4-5: Serengeti National Park

  • Private Safari: Drive into the vast Serengeti, perhaps stopping at viewpoints along the way. You can choose to focus on specific areas based on wildlife movements (e.g., Grumeti River for potential river crossings if timing is right for 2026-2027 migration). Your guide can adapt game drives to track specific animals or explore different zones. Accommodation choice is yours, perhaps a mobile camp that follows the migration.
  • Group Safari: Enter the Serengeti, usually following a set route to a pre-booked lodge or camp. Game drives will be scheduled, covering popular wildlife areas. If the migration is in a specific location, the group will be taken there, but you might share the viewing with many other vehicles.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

  • Private Safari: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game driving. Your guide can navigate the crater floor, maximizing opportunities to spot the Big Five, including the rare black rhino. You can choose to have lunch at a scenic picnic spot within the crater.
  • Group Safari: Descend into the crater. The group will have a set amount of time for game viewing. Guides will work to show the group as much as possible, but time is managed to ensure ascent and return to the lodge within regulations.

Day 7: Departure

  • Private Safari: Depending on your flight schedule, you might have a final morning game drive or a relaxed breakfast before being transferred to the airstrip or Arusha.
  • Group Safari: The group will typically have breakfast and then drive back to Arusha for departure, with a set schedule.

The core difference lies in the ability to linger, to deviate, and to focus on personal interests. A private safari offers this depth; a group safari offers a comprehensive overview efficiently.

When to Book Your 2026-2027 Safari: Timing is Key

The decision between private and group can also be influenced by when you plan to travel, especially for 2026-2027. Tanzania experiences distinct seasons:

  • High Season (June-October, December-February): Dry, pleasant weather, ideal for wildlife viewing as animals congregate around water sources. This is also the most popular and expensive time. Availability for both private and group tours, especially specific lodges, can be limited, so booking well in advance (6-12 months) is crucial.
  • Green Season/Low Season (November, March-May): Lush landscapes, fewer tourists, and lower prices. Wildlife viewing can still be excellent, though some animals may disperse. This season offers great value. Availability is generally better, but booking 3-6 months ahead is still advisable for 2026-2027.

For private safaris: Booking further in advance (9-18 months) is recommended to secure your preferred guides and lodges, especially for peak season 2026-2027 travel. The flexibility of a private safari can sometimes allow for more tailored travel during shoulder seasons.

For group safaris: These often have fixed departure dates. Popular dates, especially during high season 2026-2027, can fill up quickly. Booking 6-10 months in advance is typical.

Choosing Your Safari Vehicle: A Critical Component

Whether private or group, the safari vehicle is your home on the plains. In Tanzania, the standard is a 4×4 Land Cruiser or Land Rover, specifically customized for safari. Key features include:

  • Pop-up Roof: Essential for unobstructed 360-degree views and photography. This is standard on almost all safari vehicles.
  • Spacious Seating: Designed for comfort on bumpy roads.
  • Large Windows: For viewing from inside the vehicle.
  • Cooler Boxes: To keep drinks and snacks chilled.
  • Power Outlets: Some vehicles offer USB charging ports.

For private safaris: You have exclusive use of a vehicle. You might have a choice of Land Cruiser or Land Rover, depending on operator availability and your preference. Some operators might offer specialized vehicles for photography if requested.

For group safaris: You will share a vehicle. The type will be determined by the tour operator, usually a standard, well-maintained 4×4. The number of passengers (typically 4-7) ensures reasonable comfort, but it’s important to manage expectations about personal space compared to a private vehicle.

The Role of the Safari Guide

Your safari guide is arguably the most critical element of your trip. Their knowledge, skill, and personality can make or break your experience.

  • Expertise: A good guide knows animal behavior, tracks, habitats, and the best locations and times to find wildlife. They also understand the park rules and regulations.
  • Driving Skills: Navigating challenging terrain while allowing passengers to view wildlife requires expert driving.
  • Communication: They should be able to communicate effectively, answer questions, and share insights in an engaging manner.

Private Safari: You have a dedicated guide for your group. This allows for a deeper personal connection and the opportunity for the guide to truly understand and cater to your interests. You can spend more time asking questions and learning from them.

Group Safari: You share a guide with others. While guides are trained to engage everyone, their time and focus are shared. However, group guides are often very experienced in managing diverse interests and ensuring everyone has a great experience.

Safety and Health Considerations

Safety is paramount on any safari, whether private or group. Reputable tour operators prioritize your well-being.

  • Vehicle Safety: Safari vehicles are built to be robust and stable. Guides are trained to drive safely, especially on rough terrain and when approaching wildlife.
  • Wildlife Encounters: Guides are trained to maintain a safe distance from animals and to advise passengers on how to behave. Always follow your guide’s instructions.
  • Health: Consult your doctor about necessary vaccinations and malaria precautions well in advance of your 2026-2027 trip. Ensure you have a comprehensive travel insurance policy that covers medical emergencies and evacuation.

Private vs. Group: Generally, safety protocols are consistent. However, on a private safari, you have more control over when to take breaks or return to the lodge if someone feels unwell, offering a slight edge in personalized comfort and care.

Frequently Asked Questions About Private vs. Group Safaris in Tanzania

Here are answers to common questions that arise when comparing private and group safaris for your 2026-2027 travels:

Q1: Can I join a group safari if I’m traveling solo?
Absolutely! Group safaris are ideal for solo travelers. They offer companionship, shared costs, and a safe, organized way to experience Tanzania. You’ll meet people from all over the world.
Q2: How many people are typically in a group safari vehicle?
Most tour operators, including Top Guide Adventures, aim for a maximum of 6-7 passengers per vehicle to ensure comfort. This allows everyone a good view and space.
Q3: If I book a private safari, do I have to share the vehicle if I’m a couple?
No. When you book a private safari, the vehicle is exclusively for your group. If you are a couple, it’s just the two of you (and your guide) in the vehicle, offering maximum privacy and personalized attention.
Q4: Are park fees different for private vs. group safaris?
No, park and conservation fees are generally the same per person, per day, regardless of whether you are on a private or group safari. These fees are set by the Tanzanian government and national park authorities.
Q5: Can I customize a group safari itinerary?
Typically, group safari itineraries are fixed to accommodate all participants and maintain the schedule. However, some operators might offer minor adjustments or allow you to add extra days. For significant customization, a private safari is the best option.
Q6: Which is better for seeing the Great Migration?
Both private and group safaris can provide excellent opportunities to witness the Great Migration. The key is timing your trip to the migration’s location and having a skilled guide who knows where to find the herds. A private safari offers more flexibility to stay longer at sightings or move between locations based on real-time migration movements, potentially enhancing the experience.
Q7: What if I have dietary restrictions? Can this be accommodated on both types of safaris?
Yes, reputable tour operators like Top Guide Adventures can accommodate most dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies, etc.) on both private and group safaris. It is crucial to inform us of any requirements well in advance during the booking process for 2026-2027.
Q8: Is a private safari always more expensive than a group safari of the same duration?
Generally, yes. While the base costs for park fees and some lodge rates might be similar, the cost of dedicating a vehicle and guide solely to your group makes private safaris more expensive per person than shared group safaris for the same number of days.
Q9: What are the advantages of booking for 2026-2027 now?
Booking for 2026-2027 in advance allows you to secure your preferred travel dates, especially for peak seasons. It also gives you more options for lodge availability and potentially better pricing. For group safaris, it ensures you get a spot on popular departure dates. For private safaris, it guarantees the availability of your preferred guides and vehicles.

Conclusion: Your Tanzania Safari, Your Way

The question of private safari vs. group safari in Tanzania doesn’t have a single “better” answer. It hinges entirely on your personal priorities, budget, and travel style for your 2026-2027 adventure. A private safari offers unmatched flexibility, personalization, and exclusivity, making it ideal for those who want their journey crafted precisely to their desires. A group safari provides exceptional value, social interaction, and a structured, efficient way to see Tanzania’s wonders, perfect for budget-conscious or socially inclined travelers.

Great Wildlife, but accommodation could be better
Sarah L. · Australia · 20 Jun 2026

Our 3 Days in Tarangire National Park were filled with incredible sights. We saw so many elephants, including large family groups, and the baobab trees are truly majestic. The park is beautiful and the wildlife viewing was top-notch. Our guide was very good at spotting animals and navigating the park. However, the lodge we stayed at for the two nights was a bit basic and not quite what we expected for the price. While the wildlife experience was 5-star, the lodging brought the overall rating down slightly. We enjoyed the park itself immensely and would recommend it, but perhaps look into different accommodation options if booking a similar package.

The guides were so knowledgeable, making sure we got the best views and understood everything about the animals and the ecosystems. Our driver, Joseph, was fantastic, always spotting things we would have missed. The accommodation was comfortable, and the whole trip ran so smoothly. Highly recommend this itinerary for anyone wanting a comprehensive Tanzanian safari experience. It felt like a dream come true, and I'm already planning my next adventure for 2026!

Amazing 4-Day Big Five Safari from Moshi!
David · Germany · 20 May 2026

We did a 4 Days Big Five Safari from Moshi and were blown away by the abundance of wildlife. Within the first two days, we had seen all of the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo – in the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. The vehicle was comfortable and well-equipped for game viewing. Our guide was a true expert, with an incredible eye for spotting even the most elusive animals. He was also very passionate about conservation, which added another layer to our experience. This safari was a definite highlight of our trip to Tanzania.

Perfect Meru Trek, Our Way
Chloe L. · France · 04 Feb 2026

We opted for the 4 Days Private Mount Meru Trek and it was the best decision! Having a private group meant we could set our own pace, stop for photos whenever we liked, and really soak in the environment. Our guides were fantastic, tailored to our needs, and incredibly supportive. The trek itself was challenging, especially the final push, but the views from the top were breathtaking. Highly recommend the private option for a more personalized and comfortable mountain adventure. Looking forward to booking our next adventure with them for 2026.
